This type of treatment required the use of Photoshop masks, either on the source images, or in post-processing, and in either case this workflow could be rather tedious. 1 V2 z! S( d: @
4 b4 A% v( o2 j8 n* ZOpen the folder of the source images. We can see that they were taken with a fisheye lens and that we have three shots for the nadir.
8 u$ G' j. V8 J7 RDoubling the shot is sufficient in most cases, but here, an extra photo was taken in to be sure to have the coverage to remove the tripod. 6 f( j8 i# u5 _& q, g9 K
After the stitching, open the panorama editor. 8 Z* s' E3 F, D2 N4 N% |7 r# J
Move the panorama using the Move tool, to have the nadir neatly in the center.

Activate the Masking tool, and add a red marker on the visible tripod for each picture, and a green marker on the image without the tripod. Validate the modifications.

8 k1 z" B0 I' d2 f& tThis case is a good example to illustrate that the Masking tool doesn't do miracles, and if there is not the sufficient coverage that is required, some parts may remain.
