2018年3月期的WWP主题是《Once upon a time》。稍懂英文的朋友都知道，这是典型的童话故事的开始。“once upon a time” 翻译过来就是“从前”（曾经有过一个时候）。讲故事都是这样开头的：
Once upon a time，there was a king…… （从前啊，有一个国王……）

本期WWP主题的说明是这样的：

说到“从前”，你首先可能会想到一定是一个经典童话故事的开始，但你也可以认为这个主题是关于你文件夹里那些“全景老照片”，也就是那些已经沧海桑田，今非昔比的老地方、老场景、老建筑，甚至有些可能已经消失殆尽。当然，你也可以真的以童话般的视角，使你的作品富有创意或纪念性！

Even though the first connotation that springs to mind is the classical fairytale beginning, you may also consider this theme being about older panoramas from your archive – scenes from places, sites or buildings that do look different now or that may not even be around any more. Of course you may also aim for the fairytale angle – be as creative or commemorative as you wish!

《从前》是2018年3月期WWP主题全景摄影大展的新主题。从2004年至今，每年4期。WWP最初叫做“全球全景同一天”，首期主题是《春分》。
